Gary’s Mill produces rough cut dimensional lumber, as well as beams, posts and custom sizes from logs purchased from various small lots within Northeast Saskatchewan.
Our most common dimensions available are 2″ x 6″ and 2″ x 8″ in 8′ and 16′ lengths. These are usually sold in bundles of about 1,000 board feet, although smaller quantities are available upon request.
We also regularly have 1″ second cut slabs that have been edged to various widths of 4″ to 10″ and are usually 8′ and some 16′ lengths. These are sold in bundles of 500 board feet, but smaller quantities of 1″ can be purchased as well.
We can supply second cut slabs with Live edge (bark on) in the 1″ and 2″ thicknesses, or we can custom mill thicker dimensions to meet your needs such as for mantles.
Timbers, other sizes of dimensional, live edge (bark on) for decor and rustic projects are also available.
Timbers and other dimensional sizes availability vary depending on what we have on hand for logs.
First cut slabs are banded into bundles between 500 and 1,000 board feet each. These bundles are usually sold for cutting up for firewood, as well as for rustic projects.
Provided we have big enough logs, our Timber King mill can cut from as thin as 1/4″ strips up to 20″ thick. Our mill is also capable of milling logs up to 23′ in length and about 36″ in diameter.
All the lumber, unless otherwise stated, is fresh off the mill and therefore green. Keep in mind that for certain projects you will need to allow adequate drying time.
